How to use
Warm a 10p-sized amount between clean fingertips and press — don't rub — into damp skin morning and night. Follow with SPF in the morning. Full routine and layering guide further down this page.
What's inside
A ceramide-led barrier complex with panthenol and glycerin in a fragrance-free base. No added fragrance, no essential oils, no animal-derived ingredients. Full breakdown below.

The feel
Rich in the tube. Weightless on the skin.
This is a concentrate, so it looks and scoops like a classic thick barrier cream. What surprises most people is what happens next: it breaks down the second it meets warmth, thins out, and disappears in about forty seconds. No tacky film, no slip, nothing sitting on top.
- Finish: soft matte with a faint healthy sheen — not greasy, not powdery
- Absorption: roughly 40 seconds on damp skin
- Layering: sits happily under SPF, makeup, and sunscreen without pilling
- Scent: genuinely none — no fragrance, no essential oils, no masking scent
Pressed into damp skin, it's fully sunk in by about forty seconds — no tacky window.
The routine
Four steps, twice a day
The single biggest mistake is applying to bone-dry skin. Ceramide creams are designed to seal water in — give them water to seal.
Cleanse, then stop drying
Wash with a non-foaming cleanser and pat — don't rub — until your face is damp, not dry. You want it still slightly cool to the touch.
Warm a 10p-sized amount
Roll it between clean fingertips for three or four seconds. Warming it first is what turns the concentrate from thick to fluid.
Press, don't rub
Press into cheeks, forehead and jaw in light pushes. Rubbing works it across the surface; pressing drives it down into the top layers where it's useful.
Seal the edges
Take whatever's left on your fingers over the nose creases, around the mouth and down the neck — the spots that flake first and get skipped most.
Compatibility
What it plays nicely with
Barrier creams are the peacekeeper of a routine. Here's where this one sits relative to the actives you're probably already using.
| If you use… | Apply the cream… | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Retinol / retinaldehyde | After, as the final step | Buffers the sting and cuts the peeling phase short |
| Vitamin C (morning) | After, before SPF | No interaction — the cream just locks it down |
| Exfoliating acids | After, on acid nights only | Replaces what the acid stripped out |
| Prescription topicals | Wait 15 min, then apply | Avoids diluting the active; check with your prescriber |
| Makeup | 60 seconds before base | Needs to fully set or foundation can slide |
| Nothing else at all | Twice daily, alone | Perfectly complete as a one-product routine |

Formula
The short list, and why each one is there
Full INCI list is printed on the carton and tube. If you're patch-testing for a known sensitivity, test on the inner forearm for 24 hours first.

Practical questions
Will it pill under makeup or sunscreen?
Not if it's fully set. Pilling almost always means the layer underneath was still wet or too thick. Use a 10p-sized amount, press it in rather than rubbing, and give it a full 60 seconds before your next step.
How much should I actually use?
About the size of a 10p coin for the whole face and neck. It's a concentrate — if your skin looks shiny after two minutes, you've used roughly double what you need.
Is it heavy enough for winter, and light enough for summer?
Yes to both, because you control the dose. In cold, dry months most people use a slightly fuller layer at night. In heat, a thinner morning layer sits perfectly under SPF without feeling like a mask.
Can I use it on my body?
You can — it works well on hands, elbows and shins. It's formulated and priced as a facial cream, so most people reserve it for the face and any stubborn dry patches rather than full-body use.
I'm acne-prone. Will this clog me?
It's formulated to be non-comedogenic, with no mineral oil and no heavy pore-clogging esters. It's a common pick for people whose skin is dried out by acne treatments and who need moisture without richness.
Can I use it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
There are no retinoids, salicylic acid or essential oils in the formula. That said, we're not in a position to give medical advice — please run the ingredient list past your midwife or GP if you have any doubt.
How long does one tube last?
At twice a day on the face and neck, most people finish a 200ml tube in 10 to 12 weeks — close to three months. That's why the multi-bottle bundles work out well: you're buying ahead at the discounted rate rather than reordering at full price.
What if it doesn't suit my skin?
Send it back within 60 days for a full refund, opened or not. Keep the tube if you like — we'd rather you tried it properly than returned it half-tested.
How does the subscription work?
Tick "Subscribe and save" in the buy box and your chosen bundle repeats every 60 days at 10% off. You can change that interval, skip a shipment, or cancel outright from your account at any time — there's no minimum number of orders, and nothing is sent without an email first.
